IRS have finally updated their Where’s My Refund tool. They will be unloading millions of dollars over the next few days to taxpayers.
We have received news that the IRS updated their Where’s My Refund webpage last night at 12 A.M. last night.
Update 1/25/2018: The IRS just set the first tax refund payout date, Jan. 29th, 2018. We have adjusted our 2018 Refund Schedule to reflect this.
Update 1/24/2018: We have had many reports of individuals getting the “We have received your tax return and it is bring processed.” message today. It goes on to say “If you filed a complete and accurate tax return, your refund should be issued within 21 days of the received date. However, processing may take longer under certain circumstances.” “Please check here or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go, to check on your refund status.”
In our opinion, this means that anyone with this message who did not file EIC or ACTC, will have their tax refund issued this Friday or next Friday. See our 2018 Refund Schedule for exact dates.
There is another message for those who filed with Earned Income Credit and/or Additional Child Tax Credit. “There is a delay in processing your tax return. If you have questions or need additional information, please have the following on hand when you call: A copy of this page. A copy of your tax return. The Social Security Number, Filing Status, and refund amount claimed on your return. Any notice that you have received concerning your refund.” It goes on to say ” Please mention reference number 1541 to the IRS Customer Service Representative IRS hours of Service: Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.” Last it says “Call: 1-800-829-0582, when asked for an extension, enter 312. From outside the US call 267-941-1000. TTY/TDD: 1-800-829-4059”
This just means that you are one the millions delayed due to filing the EITC and/or ACTC, more details on this, visit here.
Thousands of people have their Direct Deposit date sets to “on or before February 2nd, 2018”. This matches our 2018 Refund Schedule perfectly. They will send the funds to the bank on Thursday and the funds will be set to be direct deposited on Friday January 27th, 2018. This will give your bank time to handle the huge load of all of the transfer they receive of millions of dollars over a day period.
Please check the IRS. Where’s My Refund and then be watching your bank account for the direct deposit. We strive to keep our schedule as accurate as possible and hope that you have enjoyed reading.
