The IRS just announced the first day to receive federal tax refunds 2020
The Internal Revenue Service just announced the official opening day for the 2020 IRS tax season to be January 27th, 2020. This is when the IRS will begin accepting 2019 Tax Returns for individuals. You have until April 15 to file your return and pay your tax bill.

The first day to file in 2020 may be January 27th, 2020, but this doesn’t stop you from e-filing using the IRS Free File options or any of the various online providers such as TurboTax, TaxSlayers, or FreeTaxUSA.
The IRS says 70 percent of American taxpayers are eligible for Free File. In an effort to get better data about people’s experiences, companies will now have to use a “statistically valid methodology to randomly select and survey taxpayers who successfully e-filed a tax return through the Free File program,” according to the signed agreement.
