this is for all of you who think you have to wait till Oct 2015 to file your return
You should know that the IRS hasn't had a refund cycle chart in a couple of years, so this information is NOT accurate. You should also know that the head of the IRS, John Koskinen, said in a news conference last Thursday that due to budget cuts they have NO estimate on how long refunds will be delayed this year.

It going to be a busy year for us tax preparers. All forms are up to date, there's no delays Tax payers.
I have to disagree with you. As a tax preparer, the IRS always put out a refund cycle chart and it has always been accurate.
the whole no refund till october thing was just an attempt to blame obama…people treat the president like fans treat a quarterback….theres 11 men on the offense…theres way more members of congress
They have a cycle chart every year. I do my taxes on the internet and i always get mine back on the date it says or soon. They wouldn't of made this chart if it was October. I think the small business that do taxes a different time of year maybe october
its says on IRS website returns not accepted till jan 20th well i already efiled mine and they have already accepted it, but still is being (processed) wondering if they are actually starting earlier than they said on the website
Daniel, They did last year. I think the 20th is more of a general acceptance date. They will probably accept some of the more simple 1040ez’s, etc earlier. They did last year at least.
so I jut submitted my return today and within 3 hours I was notified that it has been accepted by the irs. what does this mean? they still wont process until the 20th?
Heather, do you mind sending a screenshot to [email protected] ? We will look into this.
That is NOT ACCURATE information. Th y have a schedule every year.
Renee Tester Then please by all means point me to where this schedule is on the IRS website. I would think that if they put one out that it would be on their website, but this is all I can find. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043en.pdf No mention of a schedule at all there.
Cindy is correct. IRS no longer issues a refund cycle chart since they have been using Mef
people look under the refund schedule it even says its only estimates that irs refuses to have a schedule
